Back to the Future
Same Clock, New Era
There’s a change at the helm at Clock. After five years as CEO, Patrick Mulford is moving on to his next adventure.
But this isn’t the start of a big reshuffle. Clock will continue to be run day-to-day by the empowered management team that already leads the business, with founder Syd Nadim remaining in his role as Chairman.
For anyone who knows Clock, Syd needs little introduction. He founded the company in 1997 and has remained closely involved ever since, helping shape the independent, creative and occasionally unconventional business we are today.
So this isn’t really a new beginning… it’s more Back to the Future.
Thank You, Patrick
Patrick joined Clock as CEO five years ago and has helped guide the business through an important chapter in our history.
During that time, we’ve remained fiercely independent, become B Corp certified, embraced genuinely flexible working and continued to build ambitious digital products for some of the world’s most interesting organisations. In Patrick’s own words, Clock is a “digital unicorn” - and we rather like that description.
A huge thank you to Patrick for everything he’s brought to Clock, and we wish him every success with whatever comes next.
Built to Lead Together
Clock has never really been about one person at the top.
Today, the business is led by an experienced management team with the autonomy to make decisions, shape the company and lead their respective areas of expertise. That doesn’t change.
Syd remains Clock’s founder and Chairman, supporting the team and helping shape the longer-term direction of a company he started nearly 30 years ago. It’s a model that reflects the way Clock has evolved: give good people responsibility, trust them to make good decisions and build the business together. It’s increasingly important as we think about Clock’s future and how we create a business with an even broader sense of ownership.
The Next Chapter
We’re entering that next chapter from a strong position.
We’re building increasingly ambitious platforms and digital products, developing our Direct-to-Fan proposition, exploring what AI means for the products and businesses we work with, and continuing to partner with organisations that need something more than an off-the-shelf solution - and we’re doing it while remaining proudly independent.
There’s no grand reinvention or dramatic change of direction here. Clock is still Clock - the same team, the same independence, the same curiosity, and the same determination to tackle the difficult stuff.
We’re enormously grateful to Patrick for the chapter he helped write.
Now it’s time to write the next one.
Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.
