LittleBigPlanet needs big ideas from Clock

Sony, developer of the popular LittleBigPlanet video game was looking for creative input to help design an engaging community hub for the newest version of the game. They needed to create a seamless journey from the game to online. The team at Sony were looking for a digital and innovative partner who could facilitate this with the creative input and delivery required. The vision from Clock was exactly what they needed.

Sony set the standards

Sony had set the bar high for Clock. The LBP brand is incredibly well known and any creative input needed to reflect the tone and imagery of the franchise. They wanted their users to be able to discover, explore and contribute to the community that is at the heart of LBP. Their demands for Clock needed to translate into a hub that would capture the passion and imagination of their user base – and this was no easy task.

Taking the second screen experience to new levels

Clock met the brief with an imaginative, original and artistic response which delivered:

  • UX and style guides for a powerful and versatile hub
  • Coherent and visually appealing design
  • Advanced features and high level of personalisation
  • Intuitive interface and advanced connectivity

Sony were over the moon – not only with the product development but also the results they have seen.  Clock delivered everything they promised and more! The community hub is a fantastic extension to the LBP brand, which has significantly grown their acquisition and retention of online users. Not only that but the user experience and added connectivity has significantly increased dwell time on the game too.
