Ireland’s largest weekend tabloid, Sunday World, was looking to revamp their publishing strategy by making digital a core part of their business. In particular, they were seeking new revenue opportunities, with an advertising model to generate ROI.
Clock delivered a complete transformation of their digital workflows and online presence. We designed a bespoke CMS and an in-field app for roving reporters, both tailored to the paper’s specific requirements. The technology means the 50-plus journalists can get content and stories online quickly and easily, giving them an edge over the competition.
The punchy red-top design has a modern feel to showcase the wealth of daily digital content now being created. Strong use of typography and imagery throughout the site creates a continuous visual language between the digital and print editions, helping to elevate their brand presence.
Sunday World’s responsive website now generates over 1.5 million page impressions per month. The new platform has enabled them to expand their business, with a successful transition to a 24/7 newsroom, and helped them to monetise a continually increasing digital inventory.
