2016 sees us launch the new online hub for retailers of The Sun and The Times & Sunday Times, ‘News Retail Plus’; the place for newsagents to explore features created specifically to help increase their newspaper sales. The website also showcases work from retailers who are Category Champions and who are leading the way for newspaper sales of the future.
The platform is a redesign of the existing ‘Retail+’ site, which Clock built back in 2013 and has been created to provide a gateway between publisher and newsagent, making life easier for the independent retailers selling News UK publications.
Serving as a portal for those retailers, the platform caters for those who receive delivery directly from News UK (within the M25) as well as for those who are serviced by one of News UK’s wholesale partners. Features of the site include distribution updates, help centre, real-time sales data, category management advice, tools such as profit calculators and templates, and even a fun interactive game. There is also integration with social channels as well as site tracking using Google Analytics.
The new fully responsive, feature-rich site is fully integrated with live News UK sales data, and renders as perfectly on mobile and tablet as it does on desktop; the idea was to allow users access to information quickly and easily. The result is a clean, easy to use solution, which suits the needs of both end user and client.
The CMS has also been completely reworked to allow administrators to manage and update content autonomously and with ease.
