Solution

With a world of information at their fingertips and a desire for instantaneous, short-form content, we knew we had our work cut out for us when it came to really grabbing the attention of the youth market.

Our answer was the 5 live Football Player, an interactive application that syndicates content across the digital playing field, including web pages, social networks and mobile devices. Users can now tailor 5 live content according to their favoured team, league and content type, meaning they can access to the content they want, whenever they like. They can also customise the look and feel of their application to play on the tribal nature of football.

Results

The Football Player has been seeded on over 120 high traffic football sites and embedded on thousands of users’ profile pages. It’s even replaced the 5 live Football homepage, exceeding our expectations and the client’s.

Over one million users have engaged with 5 live’s football content so far in 2009, meaning the brand has successfully translated its iconic status to the digital sphere. Capping its debut season, the campaign was nominated for a British Interactive Media Award in the B2C Content and Distribution Category.
