Times+ is live!
Posted on 05 Oct 2009 by A Sharl.
We're delighted to announce that our latest project for News International has gone live today. We've been dying to let the world know what we've been plotting here at Clock Towers, but were sworn to secrecy by the powers that be.
The new offering, called Times+, is the successor to Culture+ which we launched back in August 2008. The good news is that Culture+ was a massive success with unprecedented participation from the Times readership. As a result, Times+ will act as a standalone proposition and is designed to develop new revenue streams by rewarding readers' loyalty.
It also heralds a strategic shift for our friends at News International, as they look to concentrate on making money from regular readers rather than building as big an audience as possible in print and online.
This has been massive undertaking from our Technical and Creative teams who have worked tirelessly with a whole host of third parties (and their technologies!) to bring the clubs to life.
Our work has only just begun though. Over the next 12 months, we'll be tweaking the offering, developing new clubs and adding functionality to ensure the clubs go from strength to strength.
