Syd has nurtured Clock from a Prince's Trust start-up in 1997 to one of the top 100 digital agencies in the UK. His passion for digital, and his devotion to the Prince’s Trust, have seen him get involved with a few other promising start-ups as well, including SwipeStation, WUWO Media Training and Brilliant Memorabilia. An outstanding motivational speaker, Syd regularly attends schools and industry events to share his inspirational story, and in 2012 he was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of his outstanding work in the development of business and entrepreneurial education.
Chief Operating Officer
Rob joined the Clock team in 2002 and has been at the heart of the operations side of the business ever since, responsible for overseeing all project communication, scheduling and delivery and thriving on working in a fast-paced and innovative environment. He also knows his way around the technical stuff too, having begun his career as a developer, which means he can ensure the highest quality output. He has supervised many complex and high-profile projects, including Sun+ Perks for News UK, Sunday World for Independent News & Media and Go Think Big for Telefonica, to name but a few.
Chief Technology Officer
An avid computer scientist, Paul became Chief Technical Officer back in 2004. While at Clock, Paul has led all software engineering and technical services, delivering projects ranging from the complex integrations and platform development at News UK to the recent launch of the digital-only fashion glossy Never Underdressed for ShortList Media. A pioneer of revolutionary technologies, he is the mastermind behind the world-class publishing platform Catfish, and is also recognized as one of the first people to see the business potential of Node.js, a technology that he actively promotes. Paul is a prolific speaker, attending events all around the world to share his learning with the technical community.
Paul has run his own successful accountancy business since 1995. He started working with Clock in 1998, becoming Finance Director in 2003. He deals with all aspects of the financial side of the business, as well as managing the admin team. Now based in the United Arab Emirates with his family, Paul visits the UK regularly but otherwise runs things using the wonders of technology.
